been dealing with a similar issue with my 2012 , my code reader cave me ( a potential code ) of low battery voltage but the same reader said the battery was reading at 13.9 which isn't low ! thinking it's something in the interior . I just keep it on the maintainer when parked in the garage .

I just tuned into the middle of your video.im gonna watch it from the beginning but I'll tell you why dealers drop the ball as of lately is mostly because there is no depth anymore.meaning there's lots of lube techs now straight outta school cause they're cheap to hire.example:the Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealership I used to work at started hiring kids just out of auto shop .they would hire them at minimum wage .the dealership would provide the tools the would use so legally all they had to pay was minimum wage.those poor kids didn't know any better and they didn't know jack squat about cars.anyways.they are the ones diagnosing and mostly causing more problems.and the service writers are editing they're stories.thats a lot of the reason why I and countless other really good techs have gone elsewhere.they rewrote a 3 C's story of mine about a shift issue on a 545 RFE trans.screwed it all up and the customer thought I was an idiot.too many times so I quit and got a job doing basically what you're doing.so that's why you're not getting any compitent answers.thanks for letting me rant... Happen to mine,had to call a locksmith that installed a bypass and resolve the problem for good in 5 minutes.600$,better than the 3500 the dealer wanted.The ignition went bad.Just make sure YOU DON'T LET THE STEERING LOCK,otherwise then you are in real big problems.If u let it happen then your dealer is probably ur only option

I have that code. Put a new brake switch and all my taillights stay on even without the harness connected to the brake switch. Im check the bulb tomorrow.

Could you show a report/record of the data? I use a elm327 for data logging because my HPFP would only fail at wot, only way to Diagnose if it was the Low or High Pressure side was to log it at wot. I could look at the log with a log viewer or datazap. I really wanz to See how good this data could be used After the record/Report with the thinkdiag

Lots of toyotas have the immo box behind the glove box. The key'd ignition has a "transponder key ECU" behind the glove box on this truck. I would imagine if it were keyless entry with push start, it may have used a different harness to go to a different keyless immo module, and that's why the wiring is like that. GREAT VIDEO AS USUAL!

You have 6* per tooth which is correct for a 60-2 tooth reluctor wheel and a possible jumped 1 tooth mechanical timing of about 15*, you measured 18*. I did not notice that the shop gave you any actual mechanical timing info of maybe 1 jumped tooth but this repair is what I would have inspected and found also, thanks for that follow-up on the actual malfunction. I know it's hard to get back to a job at a shop but a confirmation waveform would have been nice even you gave us a known good from PICO. How did the shop know the timing was exact, can they share a waveform with you to post? cheers.

i bought this too during prime day. The volume is too low for the AI ADAS and BSD features. Wish we could adjust the volume higher. Also, u were supposed to use the anti static sticker first before u mount the dashcam on the window.

That's one big thing I love about my gmc sierra 2500hd. You have the ability to read and delete dtc while the truck is running.

Avoid REXING dash cam at all costs. It has severe bugs, practically useless. Has no quality control. I returned it, bought Garmin. Difference is day and night.

I installed this camera in my truck yesterday and haven't yet had time to mess with the settings. Does the unit turn itself on/off when the vehicle is turned on/off? After installation, I turned it off manually because it didn't seem to turn itself off. Again this morning, I had to turn it on by hand.

Dash cams are a good investment. It saved me in California when I got brake checked on I-15 in a semi truck. The fellow had to change his story after I showed the recording to California Highway Patrol. He went from seeing dollar signs to getting screwed in a flash. 🤣🤣

Why does a company with such a reputation for reliability continue to use rubbish parts that are so prone to failure? This should be really brand damaging but somehow the majority of us still believe that Mercedes make reliable vehicles which is much more than they deserve.

This car has thrown me threw loops I found an old dealership gps tracking system an thought that maybe that was the problem an spent an hour cutting it out an fixing everything back but that theft light stayed on an I was bombed once that left light is gone I’ll be a happy man

So do you got to reprogram the immobilizer module or can you just swap in a new one that’s what I’ve been trying to find out an I can’t get an answer an also I have got a new oem key fob on the way with a new immobilizer module I’m gonna get the new key cut the fob I have is new also but it’s a cheapo junk key an started it for awhile but now won’t do anything but my next question is can I reprogram the new key once it has been cut or do I gotta get a lock smith to do it I was told by another lock smith to wait something like 10 or 11 minutes an see if the old key reprograms I guess if that’s what he was meaning but my theft light never went away an I have that same code so I’m thinking I have the same problem can you please help me out

Had exactly the same car with exactly the same issue. After 2 days of exactly the same diagnostic procedures the parasitic drain was gone by itself. Couldn't make it happen again, car was sold and never came back.

Voltage and Amperage on a meter must always default to A/C. Reason being is if someone is using one of these in a house, and has it on D/C by accident, they will read 0V on any A/C signal with a mean voltage of 0V, even if there is 240V RMS on the wire. This can lead someone to believe a breaker is off when it is actually on. So, long story short, people can die if a meter goes to D/C by default, but not the other way around.

Many parasitic draw comes from the electronic rust control module . Get rid of that crap because it’s fake and obviously doesn’t work. They will drain your battery in no time.

You can be a hack like a coworker and replace the fuse with a bigger untill it doesn't blow and then have a fire behind the dashboard and wreaking a 2012 car instead of just replacing the fuse with an H7 headlight bulb like i do and look with a thermal camera to find the cable that is slightly heating up to find the actual fault. He's super mad every time i mention him burning a car that DROVE in for a radio fault that It's HIS FAULT that the car got wrecked and say's there wasn't any other way to find the fault.... 🙄

So difficult to be able to stay focused on a job like that in a money making dealership environment. Well done.

Been there done that, Instrument cluster and Gear Shifter stays lit up. Challenger / Chargers and the RF hut wouldn't quit talking and would quit acting up if the connectors where removed and reinstalled. Becoming a common failure.

Sometimes taking power away from the control unit can lead up to "hard reset" maybe that is what happened to the hub since it stopped acting up. Thanks for another great video!

I'm just a DIYer trying to learn more about auto electronic because of my truck keeps throwing a code when wet and wanted to learn more since the dealer can't fix the problem after thousands of dollars spent. Between you, PH Ivan and South Main I learn a lot more about modern vehicles. I really like how you video how to connect your scope/test lights vs Ivan just says how he connect it. For beginners like myself it's really nice to have a visual to reference. Please keep up the good work!
